Love on Trial: The Family and The Justice System is an award-winning Canadian documentary directed by Ricaardoe Di Done, founder and CEO of Children Now. The film examines the impact of family breakdown and the justice system on children, drawing from Ricaardoe’s 18-year custody battle, reflections from his now-adult son, and insights from experts in family law, mediation, and child psychology.
The documentary offers perspective for families and society at large, exploring the emotional, social, and legal consequences of family conflict. It underscores the importance of centering children’s well-being and adopting more compassionate, child-focused approaches to resolving disputes.

La Strada: The Italian-Canadian Journey
La Strada: The Italian-Canadian Journey is a five-part documentary series that traces the history of Italians in Canada, from their early presence in the 16th century to today.
This educational endeavour aims to deepen our understanding of the Italian-Canadian experience, the intersections among diverse communities, and the role migration has played in shaping Canadian society.
It also seeks to cultivate a sense of belonging, reinforcing the idea of Canada as a tapestry of diverse cultures and histories.
The five segments will each address a specific period in Italian-Canadian history. Each episode will feature interviews with experts, including historians, who will discuss the topics contained in the storyboard outlined below. They will share their knowledge and provide objective diversity of perspectives on the history. Oral histories undertaken with and by Italian communities and representatives across the country will further enrich the documentaries so that “facts” come alive and are personalized.
Archival and current video footage of various Italian-Canadian events will help to showcase Italian communities across the country, and their strong sense of identity and pride in their heritage.
