Children and Poverty: The Impact of Economic, Social and Political Choices is a conference proceedings volume bringing together presentations and discussions from the 5th international conference on the child held in Montréal in May 2002.

Bringing together internationally recognized scholars, researchers, and professionals, the conference addressed the economic, social and political choices that can have a tremendous impact on poverty and the plight of children.

Intended for professionals, educators, researchers, and policymakers, this publication serves as both a historical record of an important international dialogue and a continuing resource for those engaged in child welfare, family studies, ethics, law, and social policy.
