The phenomenon of street gangs is on the rise. Youth and Street Gangs, an illustrated guide created for young people aged 10 and up, addresses a very specific need: to help elementary school students better understand the nature of this reality in various living environments and to offer informed and positive choices to prevent this growing problem. The more informed young people and those who care for their development (parents, educators) are, the better equipped we will be to prevent and eradicate this problem and its various consequences.

Accessible, concise, and easy to use, it offers insight, guidance, and positive alternatives aimed at helping young people make informed choices and fostering meaningful conversations that can help prevent gang involvement.

“Much more than a book, Youth and Street Gangs is an easy-to-read tool that paints a moral, pragmatic, and logical portrait of street gangs. The reader is presented with the issues, opening the door to discussion.” – Steve Young, street gang expert.
